There is a mistake in last turns summary. You have given me 62,000 for requisition, it should be 55,000 so my treasury is 48,000 not 53,000.

My moves for the 5th turn are;

1/ Taxation
2/ Major Fortress in Lithuania as we need the VP
3/ Attack from Lithuania into Prussia now we know how to beat them and they no longer have a fortress
4/ Reinforce the attack into Prussia

Thanks mate!

I've made rules that are too much complex and every time I've got to prepare the turn summary it takes almost two hours to recap everything and adjust the map while trying not to make mistakes, which anyway always occur.

In the future campaigns I'll have to simplify this feature!

Excuse me awesum4,

but reviewing your moves in the campaign before amending the summary I see that you really took the Fiscal Reform action during the first turn, so the account of money due for a requisition is effectively 62.000.

No need to tightening the purse, then!

"Despite everything I decided to be happy because it's good for my health!"

Frederick the Great in a letter to his sister Wilhelmina, quoting a phrase written to him by Voltaire

The King's newfound serenity is of great help to the entire nation as it prepares to courageously face the concentrated enemy attacks, to repel which it was decided to:

1) accept Donations (it would have been Requisitions but people are freely flocking to the offices bringing everything of value they own in order to help the King in its defensive efforts)
2) make Propaganda to bolster the patriotic sentiment
3) CounterAttack from Prussia to Lithuania, to teach the Poles we aren't still dead
4) Reinforcements in Prussia to help the King in battle

Quick question.

Open Battle Danish Jutland to Smaland attack - When adding in Danish reinforcements the default map size changes from Wide (2000-2000) to Very Wide (2100-2000). Is this correct or should I adjust map size back to the wide settings?

Encounter Battle Swedish Smaland to Jutland - I've set the terrain for Jutland (agricultural as opposed to hilly in Smaland), is this correct?

Assuming perfect understanding and implementation the twin battles between Denmark and Sweden are set.

Actually, this situation isn't clarified in the rules.

In my original vision, anyway, the presence of reinforcements shouldn't lead to a change in the size of the battlefield, that would only be justified by a substantially increase in the size of the armies, that's not present when adding only 100 pts. to one of the host.

So I'm going to edit the rules on this point.

The Prussian army is arriving.

It took some times because the King wanted to subject the soldiers to his usual grueling exercises in order to be able to deploy them in the best possible way.

Let's hope they're not exhausted before time ...

At the same time a Prussian army is marching into Lithuania to force the Poles stopping their continuous assaults against our peaceful nation.

Rejoice! Here I bring you the good news. Our most righteous armies have smote the Swedes 48-31 and 48-34

After the shambolic display of the Art of War put on by these two foes in last summer's campaign season, the general staffs of these great kingdoms went to work. Turns out both studied the same campaigns of Frederick the Great and in both battles, both sides attacked in oblique order with their respective left as the spear head. Calamity ensued and by the Grace of God, the Danes won despite being in a double-digit deficit in both games until the last 2 turns. Some Danes say they saw angels driving the Swedes into disorder and retreat, others say "random number generator" whatever that means.

AD 1743
Encounter Battle in Pomerania
Saxon – Prussian 15% - 41%

Saxon tactical victory turned marginal

The news arrived as no surprise.

The Prussian army has succumbed again fighting against the Saxons, whose military tactics once again proved superior in the clash between the two armies deployed on the German plains.
Firstly, the enemy artillery silenced the Prussian one, then the cavalry diligently exploited every weakness in the opponent’s line created by the concentrated, deadly Saxon volleys.

The Prussian army is now in disarray, and it was saved only by the presence of a minor fortress in the area, which slowed the Saxon advance preventing its complete annihilation.

AD 1743
Open Battle in Prussia
Prussian – Polish 47% - 56%

Prussian marginal victory

After so many bad news, at least a ray of sunshine brightened King Frederick's gloomy days.

An aide-de-camp who arrived from the battlefields of Prussia reported that the Polish army was forced to retreat after a violent clash fought near the heights surrounding Konigsberg, which saw the alternation of first the adversaries prevailing and then our troops, when all seemed lost.

Unfortunately, not as good news is expected from the expedition group sent to Lithuania, which seems to have gotten lost in the thick woods of the area...
