Great report, Karvon, but you missed out the bit where you slaughtered my cavalry with your lights at the beginning of the battle, before I'd even finished my initial maoeuvers.
I had to be very cautious in this one, facing an army of MF and open order warband on a field that was badly out of favour for me, and where I couldn't see where the enemy army was deployed. It wasn't a case of not knowing what to do, so much as knowing that doing anything but sitting tight would be near suicidal. A more cautious player would have sat tight and refused to do battle, but that's not in my nature and so eventually I advanced to try to make the best of a bad sitation. To Karvon's credit he did come to meet me partway and he didn't simply take full advantage of the terrain, for that I was grateful. It wasn't enough, though. Despite the remaining disadvantage, it wasn't the terrain which beat me, it was Karvon's superior play.
Thanks for a great game, Karvon. I look forward to our next.
Best Wishes
Mike
