Especially since I don't feel like doing much myself this week.
Here's the efx.pzdat values, before I forget:
And a screenshot of the purchase screen featuring all Kadzchens. This is my own personal fun mod and it is not meant to be completely realistic. Just fun. You'll notice some units of yours there. And I will spare Ballermann the effort of pointing out that two of those units were made by Puma.

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
Hehe... Indeed, there some old friends of mine there, also some of Puma's units. I particularly like the dual use you give to the Brücken units, as Brücken Infanterie and Brücken Grenadiere... Definitely, this is the creative use I want "my" icons to be given.
Do you know that the pontoon bridge that is present in those "Brücken" icons is a distant relative to the small Bridge icon of the good old "Panzer General"? Just to know it...

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
I nicked the Brücken Grenadiere from the DMP Amulet mod. They did a lot of things exactly right, but I didn't like the unfinished look, the skins, the overkill of land carriers, so the fun mod was born. Basically I got tired of waiting for others to create exactly what I wanted, otherwise I'd still be a lurker.
Ha! Now that you mention it, that pontoon does look familiar. You know, I've playing this game in one form or another since I got a demo of Panzer General in the winter of 1993/1994. A well thought out and addictive game.

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
I doubt there would be much room left for passengers if an APC already carries a large gun with some ammo. But anyone’s own game!
I admit I was also tempted some time ago to allow Pionier units to use the SdKfz 251/16 with flamethrowers as transport too when I first imported the vehicle into the game. For the sake of plausibility, I removed such transport again.
Anyway, I recently created/modified a Willys Jeep transport without .50 cal for light infantry and light guns/rocket launchers (anything up to a 6-pounder). When I saw the photos of SAS guys in Jeeps then I always wished for such transport. It would possibly look better with canvas, but it’s still better than nothing. Here they are:

Hi Horst! Thanks for sharing that good unit icon!
Did you see the Sturmpanzer II that I recently uploaded? Did you find it to be OK?

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
The Sturmpanzer looks good, but I wish the viewing angle would be more like vanilla units. No idea, is it 20-25° in vanilla? This view looks more like 5-10° - too much from the side. There is also a white line on the tracks visible in the purchase screen. Maybe the icon mask got too short there?
Thanks, but I'm fine with the old StuPz.2 icon now after I finally found a proper desert color tone in arty/at mode.
Btw, the 10.5 cm leFH 18 you once created aeons ago still lacks a desert scheme. You didn’t provide an icon mask in the beginning, therefore I was not able to recolor it properly myself either yet. Found on page 3 here. Looong time ago.

As it is raining outside and I got some free time to spend changing the equipment file and adding units, it is just the right time to thank for all the effort done by Guille & Co. - really amazing work

I was teasing you a little bit. Sorry. But you were and are still right, although it sometimes is very hard remembering what is whose, especially when it concerns DCS templates. (I wonder if .png files have tags, like .jpg files, so creator names can be stamped into them. Or else eventually I'll just have to make a giant spreadsheet.)Ballermann wrote:jmacnamara wrote:And I will spare Ballermann the effort of pointing out that two of those units were made by Puma.![]()

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
Somewhere - I think it was the "Switch-Thread" - ideas about a HQ unit have been discussed.
Actually I am testing about the benefits and disadvantages of such an unit. The stats will be a problem, of course, but I think one that can be solved.
The unit icon is a different matter, as I am lacking any creative touch - not to talk about my graphical knowledges. For a static HQ some nice ideas can be found in the above mentioned thread. I would like to combine this with a switchable divisional command unit - something like a combination of a radio operator, a KRad dispatch rider and a Feldjäger dog handler.
Could somebody help with a corresponding unit graphics?!
Thanks in advance!

I might have started that - HQs are quite important in the Path to Rearmament.Andor66 wrote:Somewhere - I think it was the "Switch-Thread" - ideas about a HQ unit have been discussed.

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
I am just tinkering the HQ into the DLC campaigns. The player starts with a divisional command unit (switchable from a static HQ with defense only to an staff commando infantry unit with max. 7 strength points) wich will accompany him throughout the whole campaign and wich he must not loose.
So far so easy - even if it means to change every single scenario setting
The real problem is to find a reason for the player to bring this unit at least near to the main front line without over strengthen the unit - otherwise he may keep his general somewhere in the back area - always remember Guderians main principle "Führung von vorne". One idea - already mentioned - is to give a good spotting value to the command unit, but to be honest thats all for now what i have in mind. Further ideas will be welcome

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
And yet another request for an Unit Icon: does somebody have an Icon of a Sd.Kfz. 6/1?!
The only version I could find was from a DMP mod, and although it looks fine, it does not fit to the rest - I think You know this problem

Hi Andor66! I take note of your request... But are you refering to the AA halftrack with a 3,7 cm Flak gun variant? May be you meant Sdkfz 6/2? I released an icon of that unit sometime ago,but now that I look back at it, it is in need of an overhaul.
This unit was one of the great absences inthe vanilla game unit roster...

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
IF you make an SdKfz 6 anyway Guille, maybe you'd consider making a "vanilla" SdKfz 6 as well? By that I mean, the base model, without any variant code.
Cause SdKfz's 6 and 8 are the only ones left that still have no suitable icons which blend in nicely.

Hi Guille1434! ...and thanks for Your quick answer. First of all let me state how much I appreciate Your work
- it's really amazing stuff!!!
What I am looking for is the Sd.Kfz. 6/1 motor tractor unit. I want him to tow the 10.5 lFH 18 for which he was originally designed. Sounds funny, but I like to have different tractors and trucks for every single unit. Mainly thanks to You and PHCAS (and of course many others who spend their time helping guys like me!) I am not far away from this target, but the Sd.Kfz. 6 is still missing. Would be great if You could help me out.

Re: Guille's PzCorps Support Base - Multipurpose Icons and m
Andor66: Thanks for your nice words about the units I upload here for the community. You just "refuelled" the icon-making-machine... Heartfelt thanks!
Andor and Rezaf: Of course! What a dumb! The basic transport/tow version of that halftrack! Of course, I will prepare the icons for that unit. Stay tuned!
By the way, right now I am working in an improved and complete (with all the camo schemes, desert. SE, SS, foreign users, etc...) version of my long ago released 10,5 cm leFH18... So you will be able to grab the gun and its tractor vehicle.
