I agree with kronenblatt. I mean I have not seen ANY player promote his political views on this forum. I've had discussions on a wide variety of subjects with members around the world when we play but that is just sharing an opinion. Here in the USA I can only vote to truly influence anything. There have been leaders here I did not agree with but I won't let that stop me from playing their supporters in a game! I find us members as a Band of Brothers! We share a common interest and we can enjoy friendly competition. That's just me! Be safe all!

Median light and horse archers quickly secured a hill on one flank of the battlefield, allowing remaining troops to occupy rough patches nearby to defend against the long line of superior Roman infantry that marched towards them.

Holien - Carthaginian (Hannibal in Africa) 202 BC w/Numidian Defeats SpeedyCM - Pyrrhic 280-275 with Samnite allies 24% to 51%

Open plains on Hannibal's left flank and a large plateau on the Centre / Right. The Pyrrhic forces fielded a strong cavalry force on Hannibal's left to take advantage of the plains. Hannibal decided to fight on the Plateau as there were spots of rough to negate the Phalanxes of the Pyrrhic. The Right flank had less Pyrrhic Cavalry so Hannibal sought to win that fight which he did with help of his infantry. The battle was decided by the centre holding and the Pyrrhic left (Hannibal right) folding. Hannibal was able to use his cavalry to get into the flanks of some key units and the battle slowly slipped Hannibal's way. The Pyrrhic cavalry on Hannibal's left were nullified and failed to strike a blow due to a large wood that Hannibal anchored his left and rear on.

An Excellent tense game from a very worthy opponent. Thank you.

Note to Umpire - I am still on vacation returning next Wednesday. While I will have a laptop turns / responses will be limited. Please can anyone issuing challenges take note. I have one TDC games under way and will focus on completing those if I can. Many thanks

Great Game - Seeing the army of the north approaching the Italian confederation couldnt hold back behind the river and on the mountain and the left wing and left-center decided to charge. Though melee started but superior firepower was able to soften the dismounted knights which.

A large Rus army on a "peace mission" invaded the western European lands but a Coalition of Italians and Sicilians decided to stand up and fight. While the Coalition had mainly peasants with crossbows and spears against shiny armoured Rus knights, the peasants fought with heart and bravery and many knights were shot down before being in melee distance. Good Game Fudwuppel and good luck for the next games.

Good Game again - This Time the Italians showed up with a lot of horse-power to give the peasants a rest. Somehow it worked out thanks to some fortunate cohesion drops and flanking.
