Vietnam 65 unbiased comment

It is 1965 and the US ground war in Vietnam is in full swing. As a US Army commander, wage a counter-insurgency (COIN) war to secure the Ia Drang valley, on the border with Cambodia.

You are most welcome sir !!!

I am also a student of the war, personally visited all the major battlefields, played every single board game and electronic game I can get my hands on, actually collect them and militaria.

Went to the big board game faire in Essen, Germany last year and found four games I did not know existed, good day at the office... :D

My interest was just stimulated by an intriguing AAR on a gamer's site in which he analyzed his play step by step. He made mistakes, corrected them, and it does seem to give the feel of the counter-insurgency effort and especially the critical task of generating and using intelligence. If someone just hates the logical deductive process in Minesweeper, he'll probably hate the logical process of scouting and using reports and contacts to deduce or guess intelligently where hidden enemy are likely to appear or move.

I'll be buying it - when I can afford to be distracted by it.
