DESERTED, ABANDONED AND UNFINISHED GAMES RULES
The deadline for all the matches of the preliminary phase is confirmed for the 20th December.
In order to set the definitive standings, starting from the 21st and up to the 24th December, all the players will be asked to clarify on this thread the situation of their missed or unfinished games and the following rules will apply, designed in order to reflect, as much as possible, the effective strength of every player and to take care that a “bye win” generally can’t be considered as valuable as a win at the end of a normal match, discounting the chance of a loss.
If neither player will claim a match, no points will be awarded.
Deserted games
If a match won’t be started till the 20th December, every gamer who tried to play it launching an unaccepted challenge, may claim the victory in the following 3 days with a statement on this thread. If his opponent will object something or if both players will made a similar statement the question will be resolved taking care of the situations explained by the gamers and making use of gentlemen’s sportsmanship.
The points for a win in a single deserted game will be awarded as follows:
Group A winner – Group A deserter 3-0 (+7 BG diff.)
Group A winner – Group B deserter 3.5-0 (+10 BG diff.)
Group A winner – Group C deserter 3.5-0 (+12 BG diff.)
Group A winner – Group D deserter 4-0 (+15 BG diff.)
Group B winner – Group A deserter 3-0 (+5 BG diff.)
Group B winner – Group B deserter 3-0 (+7 BG diff.)
Group B winner – Group C deserter 3.5-0 (+10 BG diff.)

If a match won’t be completed till the 20th December and a player will haven’t made a move in the last 5 days (starting from the 15th December), the gamer who made the last move may claim the victory in the following 3 days with a statement on this thread. If his opponent will object something or if both players will made a similar statement the question will be resolved taking care of the situations explained by the gamers and making use of gentlemen’s sportsmanship.
The points for a win in a single abandoned game will be awarded as for a deserted game.
Unfinished games - 1st/6th turn)
If a match won’t be completed till the 20th December and won’t have reached the 7th turn each player will be liable to report the situation on this thread in the following 3 days and the points will be awarded taking care of the point average of every player determined on the results of his other finished games using the following equation:
Player’s A average: Total Player’s Average = X : 4.
Examples:
Bill (pts. Average 4) vs Jim (pts. Average 2)
Bill (4 : 6 = x : 4) 2.7 pts.
Jim (2 : 6 = x : 4) 1.3 pts.
Bill (pts. Average 1.5) vs Jim (pts. Average 2)
Bill (1.5 : 3.5 = x : 4) 1.7 pts.
Jim (2 : 3.5 = x : 4) 2.3 pts.
If a player won’t have finished a single paired game the points will be appointed as follows:
Group A player 2 average pts.,
Group B player 1.5 average pts.,
Group C player 1 average pts.,
Group D player 0.5 average pts.
The BG difference of these matches will be awarded giving a +6 to the winner or = in the case of a draw.
Unfinished games - 7th turn & more
If a match won’t be completed till the 20th December and will have reached the 7th turn or more, the results achieved by then will be considered the final score, giving a win to the player whose BG losses will be fewer in respect of his army rout level. The player entitled to make the next move will have the duty to report the result in this thread in the following 3 days and, if failing, will be liable to be considered as he abandoned the match, unless his opponent will report the result on the thread. The BG difference will be awarded taking care of the difference between the two player’s BG losses in respect of their army rout levels.

P.S. Thanks Lysimachos for organizing this tourney. Very well done with the match ups and the pre-made armies. The only thing better would have been to make custom maps so we could get away from the crazy terrain in the stock maps, but that would've invloved creating a bunch of custom scenarios.
