A little progress at Hanover. Antwerp is a nightmare so I send 2 units to Brest.

There is seesawing in Germany and the French have the upper hand in France but they can't possibly win. I win 3-0.

Campaign On The Danube As Austria
I attacked where I felt I had a good chance but the French were too strong to make taking Munich an option. I defended therefore and defence being my strong point the French would have needed 4 more turns to take Vienna. I win 2-1.

Invasion of Russia As France Etc.
My plan is to use leaders rather than produce new units. I intend to beat the troops near Riga then attack Smolensk and after that Moscow and that would be enough to win comfortably. For the loss of 7 steps I destroy a Light Infantry unit and reduce another to 7. The Russians then spread out their units between the 3 aforementioned places.

Smolensk is taken with ease. Moscow's defences were thinned out as some of its units attacked my fastest troops which didn't do them any good because I just retreated out of range the weakest one and had the rest get around them and attack their flanks. Ney and Lannes are ready to be deployed. Things look excellent.

The Russians have advanced from Moscow but haven't attacked. I'm so close that a big battle is inevitable.

Struggle Of The Nations As French Etc.

30th April 1813
I shift my field army to the north. Being badly outnumbered I plan to throw everything at the Prussians and Russians then turn south.

Berlin is taken but I don't have time to take Vienna. The game is heading for a draw.

Defence Of France As The French Etc.
I rearrange the defences. I concentrate nearly all of the non-Militia troops at Paris and Lyon as I have the best chance of holding them and therefore winning. I abandon Metz to save the unit there and moved it to Paris.

10th February 1814

The Coalition got too close to Paris for my liking so I counterattacked quite succesfully and extended my flanks.
