*NEWS* War mistaken declared against the Oda Shogunate by their own retainer Takeda Shingen

Takeda Shingen ( Doyley50 )has been ordered by the Shogun to subdue Otomi, which belongs to Oda Nobunaga (KiwiWarlord) himself

Alan, the challenge should take place as it has been ordered by your Shogun, Oda Nobunaga and needs to be issued against the Oda themselves.
However, it's up to you whether you disobey your Shogun...
You are in a real bind...Takeda Shingen
  • if you do, I expect you would be dishonored and you would be obliged to take appropriate action? :(
  • Of course, you could question your Shogun...but again you would be dishonoured as you know what happens to retainers who question their Shogun
I'll leave it up to you to sort your response

Thanks Gavin. Hmmm. I think I will send a messenger to Lord Oda and seek guidance. In the meantime I will have my ceremonial sword sharpened just in case......

Chaos reigns at the Oda Clan Castle as a plague of locusts have eaten the campaign maps and disrupted Oda's well laid plans of invading the Hojo Clan's lands.
All has returned to normal with the help of Ikko Ikki Sages and fly spray.
Otomi is under attack by the Asakura and the wrong message was sent to Takeda.
Takeda has been ordered not to attack the Asakura invaders in Otomi as the Gods have deemed it.

Was it the wrong message, or has our Shogun so little faith in his own army to hold Otomi against the Asakura? Has Oda Nobunaga ordered Takeda Shingen ( Doyley50 )to subdue Otomi, pending it's fall to the Asakura? Will his steadfast retainers waver and see Asakura as the preferred Shogun in light of his caution?... or has he gone mad? Now may be good time to call in the physicians

The problem has been blamed on the Cartographer of the map.
Takeda Shingen has been promoted to the Head of the Oda Diplomatic Service for his skills in handling the situation.

Akai conquer Uesugi Home Province

Post by lascar »

Akai (Lascar) vs Uesugi (smjohnso) 42/62.

The Uesugi were closing the gap with the Akai army, but the Akai were able to take their command camp forcing their army to route.

I presume this is for the Uesugi Home Province Dave? I will presume so, thus Uesugi Kenshin becomes your retainer.

And the challenge was issued prior to the change, so again, well done.

Hojo Home Province falls to Oda.

Oda's 14,800 army (21%) defeats Hojo's 11,900 army (48%)

Hojo Ujiyasu retreats to his Fortress in the hills.
Oda Nobunaga prepares for the final assault with the gleam of a Shogun in his eyes......

The Hojo finally managed a victory in Mori provinve against the irrepressible Ikko Ikko, 52-26, with some gallant cavalry and samurai charges to discourage the mobs of revolting peasants.

The Takeda army has prevailed against the forces of Akai Naomasa in Amigo province, 25-57.
A hard fought battle which could have gone either way until almost the very end. Good game thanks lascar.
