ConstantinIX Roman 24BC–196AD with Jewish allies 64BC-6AD beats Bluefin - Hunnic 376-476 AD 44:9
A very lucky map for the romans with stream on the left and mountains on the right which leave only a small space for the fight in the middle. In the ensuing frontal battle, the strength of the roman legios logically prevails.

ConstantinIX Roman 24BC–196AD with Jewish allies 64BC-6AD beats rs2excelsior - Palmyran 258-273AD 41:8
An early victory on my left medium infantry's wing against a line of archers and an unlucky charge/advance of a enemy veteran legio in the middle of 3 repositioning legios of mine were key factors of the roman victory.

SawyerK (Kingdom of Soissons) defeated General Shapur (Sassanid Persian) by 43-4.
The Kingdom used a expanse of forest on their right flank to reposition units and then successfully swept into the middle of the battlefield before the Sassanids cataphracts could come fully into play.

My Roman infantry are going to be the fittest troops around after chasing firstly Moors, then Huns and now Parthian horses around the battlefield. In this game the Parthians hid their cavalry and cataphracts on their baseline for most of the game while they tormented the Romans with their skirmishers.

Schweetness101 - Andalusian 756-1049AD defeats markwatson360 - Rus 960-1053AD with Pecheneg allies 850-1122AD 47-19
The battle raged over a large area in this one, and we went all the way to 21 turns. The Andalusians started out defending a large, rough ground hill with difficult slopes using irregular foot and massed archers, on their right, and various qualities of spearmen on the left on a much smaller hill with a complement of skirmishers in forests on the right and some cavalry on the far right and in reserve. The Rus deployed a large shieldwall in front, almost all hidden in forests or by line of sight, while the Pechenegs went for a very wide right flank.
Here is a screenshot from the end of the game, with some badly drawn by me colored lines approximating the movements. Lighter blue is the starting position of the Andalusian irregulars, who moved forward into the forest in front. Dark blue is that of the andalusian spears, some of whom went forward to face off with the Rus shieldwall in the narrow pass, and some of whom went back and to the left to meet the Pecheneg flank, marked in yellow. The grey blue marks the movements of the Andalusian cavalry to cut back from the right to the left to meet the flanking Pechenegs as well. The red marks the starting position of the Rus shieldwall and movement to their final positions as shown:
https://i.imgur.com/1PKgn5v.jpg

The Andalusian spears came off the hill on the left with massed archers in tow and cavalry following in order the meet the Pecheneg very wide and very large flank. Unable to get around, the Pechenegs returned back in a wide arc to their starting position, taking some losses to ranged fire along the way. They made a final stand in the top right corner there, but could not resist massed archer fire and cheap spears with light cav complement. Meanwhile, the Andalusian medium foot came off their hill (light blue) to meet the shieldwall in the forest after light infantry had scouted them there. Some of the shieldwall were unable to escape in time and ended up caught in severely disordering terrain by mediums. The rest managed to move backwards to an open area on their side of the map where the last stand was made. Ultimately, cheap muslim spears, massed archers and light horse drove off the Pechenegs, and what remained of the Rus shieldwall did not have the numbers to resist flank charges from irregulars to their left and cavalry to their right while occupied with Muslim spears in the middle.

Nijis (Spanish) defeats Challenge1 (Arab, Umayyad) 41-10.
There was just enough rough terrain, and in just the right places, for the Spanish infantry and skirmishers to hold off the crack Arab foot. The Spanish won the cavalry battle, although that was largely due to the luck of pursuit and chain-routing, and together with the losses inflicted by arrow fire we reached the rout threshold. A good game.
