Nijis (Abbasids) defeats Karvon (Alans) 49-17.

Both sides fielded cavalry armies that mixed horse archers and lancers. The Alans separated their forces and attacked from the two extreme ends of the map, while the Abbasids deployed in the center. Thick woods and a marsh in the center created some obstacles for the free wheeling horsemen, and the Abbasids were able to catch and defeat the Alan right before an Alan flanking force could ride to its rescue and trap the Arabs between them. Thanks for the battle!

Asterix_von_TWC closed the game without a PM or other so I think he rerolled it for he don't like the terrain (first reroll) but I found no trace of a new game, I'm waiting.

Lauraleik is learning the rules and tried to stick in his well - protected corner but didn't bring out his hidden light troops until it was too late. This allowed me to shoot up his troops and drag them out of position. I gave him a few hints on how to play so his next opponent won't find it so easy - the battle was just beginning to get a bit tricky for me and the numbers were beginning to tell when it ended.
