I'm afraid I've had to remove Septa (KenPortner) as no response now for 2 weeks & only one battle played.

Welcome then player 22 - Claymore. Country is Westralia and armies are Ptolemaic (Grk) and Ordonnance French.

Please allow Scar some time to get the map upto date with so many changes. We are looking at improvements as the grid is getting too small to read but I don't want to move to uploading it for everyone to have to download as the changes are too regular for that.

So, to recap, this Fall sees the advent of:-

16 davidfagnand as New Englandia
22 claymore as Westralia
24 triarius as Tuam
25 charliechap as Delian

We also have 2 other countries close to rock bottom & so in danger of their rulers getting ousted. However there are also 2 players waiting to join so again the LW brings balance to all

March or die seems to be the Lost World slogan.

So onwards.

War declared on Crimea (SoA challenge) and Carthage (RoR), password for each: victory.

I'm all for letting new players feel welcomed.
So with no further ado:
Welcome, Claymore and CharlieChap!
As neighbours what better way to start to know each other then by a nice little war? :D
Challenges soon to be posted.
PS-The Covenanter "Empire" is not forgotten. A challenge posted for you as well.
If the Covenanters have some honor they choose Arkabbim as the invaded region

Canaanite dogs, next time you better use the official Covenanter tour book when you invade, you missed our newest city (still under redecorating as we speak, who would have guessed Canaanites had such bad taste in colours...) and you have marched into the Holy Mountains of Doom.Thats the official name it wouldn't fit on the scrolls so the scribes had to shorten it.
Scouring the land as the ink dries on the papyrus for ugly women to populate it for you

Welcome to our newest emperors and if any of you want to be friendly like whats a better way of saying hello we are indeed civilize than by invading Canaanite territory. But wait theres more, free no strings attached alliances with any of the new guys who declare war and invade the Hiddeous ones lands. Welcome and enjoy the lost world

Feels the wet papyrus rag of war tossed in his face from the dusty Carthaginians in their war of re-oppression to take back their liberated province of Misratah.

We shall meet the Carthaginians in our fair province (muchly improved since you owned it) of Misratah.

Any of our multitudinous allies who wish to aid in this unprovoked attack upon us, feel free to invade Carthaginian lands!!

ptahaahhhhahahahaha!!! To WAR!!

Thank you petergarnett. I see I have been welcomed by a Challenge - nice. Sorry about any turn delays due to time zones (Oztralia) and camel train delivered internet speeds :D

Happy to fight you Mr Hidde-under-the-bed (using your full name). Did you know that Noah cursed Ham's son Canaan to a life of servitude (a possible pun on the Hebrew word "Can" meaning servant). Perhaps there is some meaning here?

Och the Noo .... who is the Claymore here? Can a man called "davouthojo" have the strength, nay, the manhood to grasp a mighty Claymore???? I think not.

You are fighting in the remote north of Westralia - Derby. No respite from the beating sun, no mead and no women - other than your own skirted companions .... oh, that's all of you.

Glad to hear you're spoiling for a fight, Mr Smartypants :P A different Canaan and a different world...my Canaanites are servants to no one (exept me, of course).
I see you live down under. I'm in Sweden. That means five or six hours time difference I think.

davouthojo wrote:William Wallace, the leader of Clan Braveheart wakes up with a heavy hangover after a long night and realises that the next party has started without him!

There's some catching up to do!

We will rout the Traitrous Egyptians in the vale of Glenlivet, still red with the blood of the previous invaders, the Canaanites
We will break the even more despicable Romans in the Slave Pits

We warmly welcome the Delian Confederacy (25) as neighbours and invade them. SOA Challenge posted, password "freedom"
We note the grievous mis-spelling of whisky by Tuam (24) and invade them, traversing the territory of our kind ally the Covenanter empire. SOA Challenge posted, password "brave"

We march! (after a few aspirin).
After a short interlude to commune with nature in the Clywdian Hills -

Tuam will defend against the depredations of the vowel deficient whisk(e)y peddlars of Clan Braveheart on the slopes of Slieve Muck.
The righteous and whiskey fortified forces of Tuam will counter invade through the lands of our new friends Crimea - leaving a case or two of Tullamore Dew by way of thanks en route.
The game is just being posted and with a crushing inevitability the password is - "whiskey"

It seems LWW1 (Lost World Whisk(e)y War one) is in progress.

Fall season officially fully over now guys - diplomacy is at an end. Let lose the dogs of ........ oh I see most of you have already done that.

There be riots on the streets of the cities & towns of Rhodes and Eupatoria - the ruling dynasties being so unpopular.

Challenges being posted to both xiccarth & ianiow - you must crush these revolts or be over-thrown. Due to your unpopularity, and despite those last minute efforts to fool the people with your 'generosity' xiccarph, you have difficulty raising full armies. To meet the rebels (Slave army MF) you may only use 400 points v their 500. Be warned the rebels blades are poised at your throats - you must show no mercy in crushing them

There was a flurry of city building during that additional build phase in the Fall - please bear with Scar & I whilst we get the map upto date.

All cities which players informed me of have been built and if, after losing a first battle, you want to withdraw into such a city in a contested area please inform me.

Attackers - one or two of the campaigns since started are in areas where there is a city but it's not on the map yet. Please check with the defender if you are unsure.

Spring was unusually long - Fall may or may not been of similar length.

8 hours between Stock-home and East coast of Ozlandia

Thought that you were going to invade??? However, my new allies are sharpening their spears - which are long enough to reach into your dark cavities .... err, I mean the ones that you are hidde-ing in.
