HI all this confusion
to bring it upto date
Early TYW Catholic & Later LOUis XIV French made it to last 4 but didn't make the final cut
so we are now down to
Later TYW German & 1 other
Hope that makes it all clear, now Hunter has declared what about you John have you made your choice yet, and Ben you are keeping very quiet

The decision has been made. I have decided my chances will be enhanced if I use an army at Britcon.
Seriously I think I am nearly there!!

Forgot to say that even the extra figures I need arrived through the post today. Four weeks or so to go to paint them - I will have to go into Simon Clarke mode. To be fair though I have painted about 70% of an army I am now unlikely to use in the last five days of which one day was given over to babysitting and evenings watching the World Cup.

Following on from the World Cup Tupi... We could have...
Lurkios new post roman Britons range: if they get into the britcon fogr comp, they would be out of thier league, have a mythical leader and the army never really quite performs in a game as history would have us believe

No not EBay at least for a while. I have always thought that the most gaudy army in FOGR must be Late Spanish and just wanted to paint it up as eye candy. Who can resist an army with units called the "Old Yellows, Old Reds etc.
Nothing spectacular fighting wise but no rubbish either and comes in at 15 battle groups including 3 units of heavy guns with light foot support.

Re: Britcon 2014 Thread
Looks like both Alasdair and John have romanced later Spanish but founf 'em not to their liking!
Both turning their heads to later German. Mein Gott I may have done something right for the first time ever in FOG R. So glad now I didn't go with Huguenots - the army I'd been practising with. Yes, I will admit it - practising
Hope we get some steer soon on what the heid honchos have opted for.

I think Alasdair was looking at Later Imperial Spanish from Wars of Religion while I was considering Later Spanish from Duty and Glory. Do keep up.
