Re: Southern League - Milton Keynes Round 1st December
A very hard fought competition today, won again by Alasdair with an African foot army (backed up by a few camels!). Armies from Europe and Asia took the 2nd and 3rd spots, so 3 continents took home the honours - not bad for a "First First World War theme" (we're still waiting for the Americans!). The horse flesh armies didn't fare so well this time with the top 8 positions dominated by Foot armies!!!
Thanks to all for attending and making hte Southern FOGR league a fantastically well supported event. The full results from today are detailed below:-

Congratulations to Alasdair on his win, but also to Andy Kitcher and Geoff Punshon for also featuring on the winners rostrum.
Here's to the 2014 events!

I would also like to say a big thank you to the organisers of the event. It all went very smoothly, from good clear directions to running on the day. Great fun and I look forward to trying again.

A thank you from me too. Only made two of this year's Southern League But enjoyed both, and both were very different from most comps (one exclusively ECW and one 1635 with set terrain ... both brought out a selection of armies you don't normally see).
Will try to make more of next year's Southern League comps.
All the best
Martin

Think there may be an error in the opponents column for game one. Apparently I played twice, nobody played against Tim Porter and Tim Mayall played himself! Maybe Tim played Tim!! The scores would match up.
