Using them for defence works under the same restriction. I like the idea of variety and it prevents the constant use of 'uber army lists', perceived or otherwise

The deterrmining factor in this game was the fact that Egyptians are much better looters than the Getae. batesmotel lost his camp.
Things started really well for me, but batesmotel played quite well considering the troop advantage I had and I barely won in the end.
