Round 3 (318 BC): Map I’s battle resolutions
- ulysisgrunt attacks kronenblatt, using the army of Hyrkania with Skythian or Saka 550 - 301 BC allies. Attacker satrapy Hyrkania, defender satrapy Parthyaia.
- Armchairbaron attacks ulysisgrunt, using the army of Drangiane with Indian 500 BC - 319 AD allies. Attacker satrapy Drangiane, defender satrapy Areia.
- kronenblatt attacks ulysisgrunt, using the army of Persis with Arab 312 BC - 299 AD allies. Attacker satrapy Parthyaia, defender satrapy Media.
- carpenkm attacks kronenblatt, using the army of Armenia with Georgian allies. Attacker satrapy Kappadokia, defender satrapy Syria.
- Battles 1 and 3 are part of the same War (due to Parthyaia being defender satrapy in 1 and attacker satrapy in 3) and thus the overall outcome will be determined by the combined result from these two battles.
- No use of Heavy Artillery is allowed.
- Players agree on map terrain from those available for the defender satrapy, and if they can’t agree then fallback map terrain of the defender satrapy will be used.
- Battles are fought using the Dividing the Spoils v4 module and the armies therein (make sure that you've downloaded version 4 of the DiSp2 module for MP battles, see Technical specifications and preparations in the Rules).
- The defender creates the challenge (with himself always as Side B) and thereafter sends a PM to the attacker and makes a post in this thread.
- Module: Dividing the Spoils v4 (click Select another module).
- Armies:
- The attacker uses the army that he specified in his attack declaration.
- The defender uses the army of the defender satrapy, plus any available allies.
- Scenario: Custom Battle - Open Battle.
- Force size: Large (1600 FP).
- Map size: Wide (40x32).
- Map type: from defender satrapy's available terrains as agreed between the players, otherwise defender satrapy's fallback (see second post of this thread).
- No map re-rolls are allowed.
- No use of Heavy Artillery is allowed.
- Let us aim at conclusion of all battles by August 31.
- The defender reports the outcome of concluded battles in this thread, specifying who won (if any), the casualties, and if any C-in-C's fell during the battle (important since it matters for when tournament will end).
- Example: Aetius39 beat kronenblatt 48-21, with Aetius 39s C-in-C killed in battle.

But Ulysisgrunt's CinC survives to fight another day.

Geffalrus attacks tyronec using the army of Makedonia with Illyrian allies. Attacker satrapy Makedonia, defender satrapy Aigyptos.
Aigyptos wins 52-26.
The Makedonians had the early advantage but the greater number of Aigyptian pikes eventually won the day.

carpenkm attacks kronenblatt, using the army of Armenia with Georgian allies. Attacker satrapy Kappadokia, defender satrapy Syria.
Carpenkm beat Kronenblatt 48-15
After a great deal of maneuvering the two armies settled on two opposing hills whilst they probed each others flanks. Superior numbers of Syrian light inf and cav looked like they would wear down the Armenians but the extended line and better heavy cav managed to win first the left and then right flanks. The Syrian irregulars lived up to their name when forced to fight the heavier Armenian inf and after looking like they would hold, the irregulars disrupted and a charging cataphract routed four in one charge tipping the battle with only a handful of turns left. Well play KB as ever a good tight game.

Great! And no C-in-C was killed there either.
Map I will now also wait for the last battle of Map II to be concluded (shortly hopefully!) and then next round will take off on both Maps.

Rosedelio with Baktria attacks Geffalrus with Atropatene (Greek allies)
Result.......Geffalrus lost 65% - Rosedelio lost 60%
A legit double knock out. On Rose's turn, all our fragmented units broke and we found ourselves both over the win/loss threshold. It was a heck of a battle with elephants running unopposed over cataphracts, prodromoi charging down rallied pikes, hoplites mobbing pikes to death, pikes crushing xystophoroi to death......chaos and bloodshed from one end of the field to the other.
No CinC killed. The generals, in fact, did rather well. Pretty sure we somehow had 3 generals each still on the field at the end of the battle, despite having very few units to attach them to.
Here are the final screens:

Round 4 (317 BC): Map I attack declarations
- ulysisgrunt: September 6
- kronenblatt: September 7
- Armchairbaron (C-in-C killed): September 8
- carpenkm: September 9
- Please feel free to post your attack declaration before the date above as well, but not after.
- Attack declarations are posted in the campaign thread.
- Please express attack declarations in the way the following example shows (i.e., specifying both which player you attack, with which army (including any allies), and the attacker and defender satrapies):
- rbodleyscott attacks kronenblatt using army of Gedrosia and Indian 500 BC - 319 AD allies. Attacker satrapy Babylonia, defender satrapy Mesopotamia.
- Date (midnight CET+1 (Pella) time) above indicates deadline, after which opportunity for you to declare attack is forfeited and the player next in line may declare his attack.
- Once you have declared an attack, please PM the player next in line, who will then be free to declare his attack, up to his deadline, so we all don't need to wait for each player's deadline.
- Rules are found in the third post of the campaign thread.
- The map and province information in the second post of the campaign thread is also useful.
