Today, I updated my Win 7 with Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.18; it did not help. Note that I do not have a folder called ""*:\My Documents\CEaW\". Furthermore, I have 4 GB of RAM. Perhaps this could cause the problem.

Any ideas?

Has the game worked for you before or was this the first time you tried to run the game? You bought the Military History channel version or did you update from a previous CEAW? This was the first time I tried to run the game. I own the "Military History channel" version. Thanks in advance.
