Re: Only one map?
There's only one map, but there are multiple scenarios that take place on that map. From the main menu, hit "Play." There are three tabs along the top of the next screen: AI, which is the screen you'll see when you first bring it up, "Face to Face," and "Online." Stayin...

Re: Stragglers
So a new question about the same topic. I'm playing Germany, and at the end of the turn, there was a soviet unit became isolated. I was thus expecting to see 3-4 Panzers out of supply on the new turn. But instead, there were only two. I'm trying to understand how this happens. The way I can reconci...

Re: Best of the 3 games for online pvp
In my opinion, it's Drive on Moscow. I very much enjoy the natural ebb and flow of the full campaign, and Typhoon is also a great quick scenario. Desert Fox seems to me to depend on an inexperienced/mistake-prone player--or a computer--to make the longer scenarios worth playing. If each player plays...

Re: Stragglers
It means on the same turn. If you look in the main rules under "Supply," 8.9 shows the Axis Fuel Shortage Table. If there are no stragglers, the die is rolled once, and the two units specified will be out of fuel if they haven't already been destroyed. (If one or both have been destroyed, ...

Re: Human Axis Ignoring VPs
The bypassing armies strategy in general may have something to recommend it. (Personally, I don't employ it. Too much chance of it wrecking a carefully-planned attack during the frost phase.) But it's ludicrous as applied to the VP per turn spaces. Unless you actually succeed in capturing Moscow--an...

Re: Axis Hedgehog Strategy
Had a similar experience (as Axis) in the only campaign game I played online to completion. If CW allows a couple of refits, it becomes incredibly difficult for them to win, because Axis can simply mine up and gain the per day victory points.

Re: Desert Fox Rules Updates and Errata
The change to Ruwaseit Ridge VP thresholds made perfect sense to me. I played as CW and lost perhaps 1 of 10 matches. The low Axis combat supply is punishing, such that if CW simply keeps their units well-protected (in deirs, minefields, or ridges) and looks for opportunities to kill one Axis unit, ...
