I had the same issue but waited for 3 or 4 minutes and it did start on my second attempt. Seems like it is doing a lot of unpacking or checking before getting going. Maybe wait a bit longer and see ?

Are you going from the beta to the full version. If you have issues try reinstalling 1.2.8 before you try and update and see if that helps. Its got back to 1.28 fine and upgraded to 1.29 ok, now is upgraded to 1.3 which is a large patch it seems (or slow download)..................has safely upgrad...
