Re: Remaking campaigns to play other side (volunteers desire
I'd be pleased to help out in any way I can. AndyR Great! Do you know scripting? This is now seems to be the hardest part of work. Not yet, but I'm sure I can learn, and this is a great reason to do so. However, if prior experience is a pre-requisite, I won't be offended if my offer is not taken up...

Re: Battles between 1700-1800
I think you'd be pushed to make a competitive game out of Arques using this system. Moncontour, Dreux and Ivry would be more competitive and 'game-able', I would suggest.

Re: Map and Time Scale
OK, that's clear; thanks. I guess it just means a bit more pre planning in scenario design before committing it to the editor, but that's no bad thing.

Re: Map and Time Scale
Hmmm, well, if I mention specifics, maybe that'll explain my slight concern at that approach. I was thinking of starting with something really small, Roundway Down, as a learning exercise. As you know, the battlefield was physically constrained by the steep-sided terrain and I wanted to ensure that ...

Re: Map and Time Scale
OK, I get that, but I simply want to start designing a scenario. I need to know how big to make the map. I can extrapolate from the movement rates, but that seems woefully imprecise.

Map and Time Scale
I've read the manual, but I don't see a statement of time and distance scale anywhere? What am I missing?

Re: Historic Unit Designations
OK, got it. BTW, thanks to you for your excellent online support for P&S. I love the game. I have large 15mm French and Imperial Italian Wars armies that I never get to deploy these days. This game is really scratching the itch! Great job.

Re: Historic Unit Designations
So, Richard, are you saying that if it is a bug, and can be fixed, that it would be possible to have up to 64 different unit names per side? If so, that would fix the issue from my perspective. One question; presumably that limit applies to the different unit names, but that if there were more than ...

Re: italian wars scenarios
If you apply the mod to increase zoom limits given in the Scenario Design section, you can zoom right in and see the gee-gees quite easily. That is if the unit designation doesn't give it away.

Historic Unit Designations
Unless I'm missing something obvious, there doesn't appear to be any way to give units historic designations. I can't help but feel it would be so much more immersive to know a unit was Rupert's Bluecoats, the Don Gaspard Boniface tercio or the Gens d'Armes de Roi than simply Veteran Horse. Any thou...

Re: Unitgraphics
Can I just say that I think you have achieved EXACTLY the right effect with the unit graphics. I've been lobbying a certain boardgame company who make what I feel is the definitive pike and shot boardgame system to use such a depiction for their counter graphics. Something they've been extremely res...
