Re: An idea to keep folks playing.
I like the idea but feel my medal tally will be low!
But is this only for AI games as human games could be thrown.

Re: Combined frontal attack
Yeah, well on the other hand, in real life a defender doesn't necessarily just sit there as all your units launch a frontal attack, which is what would happen with the game solution you propose. All game mechanics are compromises between what is possible/what makes for a good game/what best describ...

Scenarios...
I noticed Pixelgeeks request for the Eastern Front which is great so wonder if it is worth creating a voting page to propose possible scenarios that members can vote for. I am certainly looking forward to the proposed scenario and in addition to Eastern Front I would like to see Market Garden - Batt...

Re: Non historical scenarios?
Actually I would love to be able to continue after the final deadline to see how long it does take to meet the objectives. A simple "Continue?" Request would be great, but accept this may not be possible due to the timelines.

Re: Where is the Meuse River? No movement - why?
If you zoom in you will see the river names by each river. For the small scenario it starts just E of Liege and runs South of town Westward to Namur before turning South to bottom of boardtactfulgamer wrote: 1) Where is this Meuse River I am supposed to protect as the allies?

Re: Combined frontal attack
I think there are two aspects here.... Firstly one can send units from one area to multiple areas to attack but not vice versa so a joint manoeuvre on a single area has to be done in sequence which means that a strong defence can't be over-run by two slightly lower units from differing areas, unless...

Re: Military symbols and units
I didn't think I was going to start such a debate so it's interesting to see the thread.
I totally agree with the "more scenarios" first cosmetics later.
The more I play the less I feel the need for NATO symbols but the diehards may differ.

Re: Military symbols and units
I'm with you on the 3D decision as I hate 3D and I too feel it cheapens the look; I wouldn't have bought the game if it had 3D symbology. I understand your thought process and the game is certainly a breakthrough/crossover for war gamers and bringing game to the uninitiated. Still will put suggestio...

Military symbols and units
If there is one small thing I would prefer is the use of the recognised military unit symbols, much like the ones used with the major board games.
Still this is the first war game that tries to recreate those said board games and the Norm Kroger TOAW games so you have one convert.... Well done

Combined frontal attack
Am I missing something as it appears that only one area can move and attack at any one time whereas in real life numerous areas could move and attack instantaneously... Ie a combined frontal assault. Would also be good to maybe have the option to change the colour of units that cannot move for rest ...
