You cant just add to Sentinel weapons. It is as adding to jagdpanther additional non-historic machine gun, because you want. Fortunately, developers understand and respect history of the 40k

But I think yes, Salamander is much more effective, than Sentinel, and this walker need some buffs.

For transports not 'fighting' with the unit, an easy fix would be to just have the unit's statistics slightly modified if they have a transport, or in the case of a Land Raider, greatly modified. It would then justify the points and might be easier to do than making a dedicated transport unit. Yep,...

Developers, please rework transport concept in addons! Chimeras and LRaiders not armored bus!

But that's not how this game works.
But we have experience for units, and now full history of the deeds. With all of it is very sad to lose a units.
One point that players choose to avoid losses - is to purchase too many super heavy and Titans.

So ... at least good to know, this is a bug or a design? Demolisher is not indirect or guess range, no minimum distance in tabletop or Lore. Thunderers and Vindicators - It is not should to be high caliber assault gun with 1-2 range? (like SU-152 from WW2 I think)

I think only scenario or core restriction can fix a problem. No one commander can purchase an army of baneblades. And only Titans Legio consist of full Titan Army.
