Mods not working :(

Hi all,
I downloaded the latest version of PC to my old XP operating PC while on holidays.
I tried installing 3 mods (Battlefield Europe,Romanian Campaign,Italian Campaign ) and they all have the same issue:
The loading works ok,initial videos are ok but when I get to the actual game screen ...
