Same issue here.

I can create a MP game, I can join a MP game... but after the first turn; I attempt to connect to the PBEM server through "games in progress" and there is an endless countdown attempting to connect to the server.

This game is a fantastic break from the mainstream, and though I have run into some frustrating bugs... Briggs nailed the problem. It happened twice with single player (as Americans) and has now occurred for a third time playing multiplayer (as Russians).
