Yes there are a selection of different colours for the markers and a mixed set (each different state is a different colour).

The idea behind having one colour per set is that each player has their own colour and the two sets will not get mixed up.

Instead of exiting the game. Try pressing the Microsoft key. That should get you back to the desktop and you will have the game frozen and minimised on the task bar.

How about this (using the forces you have). Keep 3 units of Pretorians back, moving forward at normal speed. After you have broken the first line of defence, throw these fresh units in against the general and bodyguard. Its basically a tactic to break up the good enemy troops with pila.

Yes, a fantasy version would have more appeal. But then they would want magic, flying creatures and undead.

No the hardest setting can be done but does take effort. Make regular saves and if you find you have the wrong units for the job, go back to the saved list and buy the right stuff.

I went for an archer based army but good heavy infantry should do the same job.

Just come off the Roman campaign set at hardest level. I used 4 units of archers and amassed 1,111,945 fame.

I think you get more fame if you kill the enemy without them killing you - and of course archers do this nicely.
