600pt ancient british army

Ok, ive tried desinging my own army and battled a mate. he absolutely destroyed my army and i only killed 4 bases =(.
i realy need help. if anyone has a good ancient English army list please tell me.

G'day, i have just recently bought the field of glory rulebook and legions triumphant. i just have a few questions: 1: it says the british have roman allies, does that mean i can take any roman BGs, or can i only take one BGs, 2: how many points are the starter armys? 3: which is the best Australian...
