That's great.
You just don't see games like this come around very often. It gives me a warm fuzzy sense of nostalgia from when I was a kid playing D&D and obsessing over everything fantasy.

Tom Petty said it best. The waiting is the hardest part
I want to play as Dwarves, please tell me that's going to be a thing.

Re: Unit and unit types review
Towards the end of my last playthrough I had a mix of Steel Legion and Blood Angels/Salamanders. That buff they did on Captain Tycho made him BOSS. I had him rolling with a retinue of 3 Blood Angels Terminators w/assault cannon mounted in Land Raiders, a Blood Angel Command Squad, a unit of Sanguina...

Re: Digitally Downloaded review of Warhammer 40,000: Armaged
I just finished my second play through. Comparing the game from release day to now - the game has improved markedly.

Re: Army builds
I'm nearly through act 1 and my casualties have significantly been reduced, especially in regard to the attacking of artillery pieces. Going into the end of act 1, here's my build.. Infantry: 1x Command Squad 1x Flamer assault Squad 1x Infantry Squad 1x Mortar Support 1x Heavy Bolter Support 1x Roug...

Range has an affect on your ability to damage units, with the idea that being further away makes it harder to hit.

Re: Army builds
I knew there had to be a counter to artillery, I just couldn't figure it out. You just saved a lot of lives my friend. I was simply bum rushing artillery pieces with whatever I felt was expendable. Ironically I completely ignored the rough riders during my unit purchasing, even going so far as to sc...

Army builds
Just wondering how some of you are structuring/expanding your armies, what some of your favorite units are and how they perform on the battlefield, and maybe some of your favorite tactics. I've only had an hour of play time so far and my strategy of, "MOAR TANKS!!!!!!11!," hasn't quite bee...

Oh.. sweet. Looks like I will get to play this during my 15 hour flight back to the US of A.
I have really been looking forward to this one.. can't wait to play it and I am already anticipating the expansions later on down the road. Now, take my money and like it.

Re: Beta Test
Patience young jedi.. he said they are getting close. Surely we don't want to be using the word Jedi in this forum. It should read "Patience Brother". Don't want anything to do with fluffy Star Wars do we. I have an idea, how bout from now on you write all of my posts for me, that way the...

Re: Any News on the Release for this Game
Sorry guys - the team are very busy trying to finish up things that keep getting in the way of the external beta. We are days away and we hope to announce the date soon too! It is already very far on so the beta is starting much later than it would normally for a variety of reasons! This is going t...

Re: wargamers to real war
just a thought, if you are good in strategies and decision making in wargames, maybe a wargame master, do you see that it would help if you are in command for the real war? A very naive/immature question. Real war is an awful, terrible thing. Not something to be compared to a video game played in th...

Horse and Musket
Do any of the developers plan to work on a Horse and Musket type game? Those were fantastic turn-based games and had interesting mechanics.

I don't see how that relates to the release date of the game.. it's just a bunch of news about miniatures..
