Thanks, I un-installed and re-installed to "c:/games/spartan", added d3drm.dll, set compatibility to "Windows XP SP2" and "Run as Administrator". Result is same, it brings up the "Loading" screen and then no more... The only other thing of note; during install...

Weird coincidence, but I've just re-installed Spartan (and o.g. "Legion" and "Chariots of War") *last night*, and while the other two run fine, I'm having the exact same issue with Spartan- hangs at the loading screen. I've also put the d3drm.dll in place, same compatibility mode...
