Re: Anti-tank gun question.
Thanks for the opinions. I'll pass on using a towed AT gun. The 8.8cm Pak has a vicious hard attack of 24 for the cost of 270+truck. Such a hard attack would cost 600 for an Elefant or jagd panther, or 990 for a tiger 2. So there's definitely a potential cost and cap hit benefit. Furthermore, since...

1) Download the Porting Kit https://www.portingkit.com 2) Install, do search for 'Panzer Corps' 3) Follow directions. One can do the search before downloading, there is an 'Install Now' button, have not tried. This port was developed for the GOG Install. It worked using the Slitherline installer. N...

Re: FIND OUT THE NEW 2024-2025 ROADMAP OF PANZER CORPS 2
Would it trouble you too much to spend a day or two to recompile the iPad version of Panzer Corps 1 and put it in the Mac App Store? Literally the only thing it needs is support for screen resolutions above 1024x768. Is that too much to ask? PzC1 screen captures: Screenshot 2024-08-20 at 9.21.08 AM...

Re: Worth the money?
It has extremely high system requirements for a board game which severely limit the gameplay. The maps have to be kept fairly small as a result. I might suggest PzC 1 if you haven't already tried it. Not true. Game run quite well on my 8-years-old gaming laptop until I have to gave it up when Steam...

Re:
We know very well what is overrun, but we decided against including it in Panzer Corps. Overrun ability, as it was implemented in PG2, would make late tanks "super units" which can make multiple attacks per turn and never risk to take casualties themselves. For example, King Tiger overstr...

Really, how?dalfrede wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2024 3:42 am On my Air M2 I managed to get both PzC and PzC2 working on Steam.
OS Sonoma14.2.1
Unfortunately installing PzC2 broke PzC.
Did a standalone Slitherline install and it worked.
The install needs a PC auth code but otherwise free.
Can provide details if interested

What, the whole Pacific?! LOL No. We cancelled one Pacific project because the navel aspect it relied on couldn't be made good enough to sell. No where have we said we're not going to make other Pacific DLC. P A-HA! I have it in writing now, and shall hold you to it. Pacific DLC when? :lo...

Re: Any hope of a console or Mac/iOS version ?
Apple doesn't think about Slitherine at all, so they don't really have issues between them. Slitherine has issues with Apple's position that software should be made to take advantage of the specifics of each platform and updated periodically to support new paradigms (eg 64 bit). Slitherine wants wr...

Re: Any hope of a console or Mac/iOS version ?
I know that there is some “issues “ between slitherine and Apple , but I’ve read PC was a decent seller for Mac and since OOB is still being supported with patches on consoles , it must be doing OK at least . Does anyone have any info for this poor broken down war horse ? Apple doesn't think about ...

Mac Version Easily Viable Now
Slitherine has a long history of bitterness against Apple and Apple users which played out as a briefly available and buggy 32-bit Mac version of PzC that no longer works and which was outsourced to a foreign porting house. Slitherine's main grievance is that Apple didn't provide them an easy way to...

Re: Why so expensive.
People who can afford Mac hardware can afford more expensive games ? Absolutely. Mac users want to pay more for higher quality. In the case of PzC, there is no Mac offering and the iPad version is abandonware, so that doesn't really apply. PS: professionally I am forced to work on Mac because of th...

Re: Hey Developers How about $2950
Rudankort is working on Pacific Corps, a multi-DLC upgrade/addition to PzC2. It is over a year late, so don't expect much from him until PcC announcement. His only posts in over a year have been bug related [PzC2]. He doesn't work for Slitherine, he runs Flashback Games, which is contracted to Slit...

Re: Why so expensive.
Bummer: one of the reasons I got an iPad was to play pzc on it. It does still work on iPad- I've played it on my M1 iPad Pro. However, it does not support iPad screen sizes bigger than 10" (you see the same thing on 13" it just gets really big). There is always the risk of it getting drop...

Re: Panzer Corps 2 Axis Operations - 1944 A message from the Developer
I would love to play this, unfortunately my last MacBook died (with Windows partition on it), and my new one with Apple M1 chip does not allow for a Windows partition. Now I can't play PzC2 anymore. Any chance PzC2 on MacOS is on the roadmap? It is not. As can be seen in various posts around the fo...

Re: Army composition to aim for going into GC 44 & 45 East?
I'm not that far in my GC yet, but what I understood from reading the forum is that aiming for air superiority in 44/45 is increasingly a lost cause. Not at all. Air supremacy against the Russians is easy right to the end. A few tips: 1) Have some ground based AA to deal with Russia's best fighters...

Re: Hey Developers How about $2950
I hate to rain on everyones parade but the developer [Rudankort] does not own the game. The publisher [Slitherline] does. Publishers have business models that don't allow such things. Rudankort was going to give the source code to PGF away. His contract with Slitherline prevented it. Rudankort can'...
