It appears from other threads that this achievement is broken. I'm currently playing through and just finished 1942. Wanted to see which path is correct one for "The Grandest Campaigner" achievement, but it looks it will all be for nothing. Wish developers will remove broken achievements

This is still not fixed. I played just now, not using any tanks, only 1 artillery, and didn't get the secondary objective.
