problem resolved, had nothing to do with the game, I would say it was a Steam issue, downloaded another game ( new computer) and download started right after the other game finished, .

as the title say's, I purchased the game on Steam and it start's to download then stops after a minute and say's ...update needed, have tried all the tip's and hints from steam, now I am asking is this a common problem or just temporary? windows 8.1, and other games I have purchased have no problems...
