Really cool bug.... time going backwards!
OK, this one is pretty cool. I've actually seen it once before, a couple of years ago, but I thought maybe it was just a quirk with the dates. So, what happens is this: 1. We get to turn 17 – July 17, 1940. Both sides play (PBEM). 2. When I open the next turn, it is one turn 16, and the date is July...

Any luck so far? I'm looking at making the same 'jump' -- and wondering if it will work.

Re: Heavy Tank Support - an idea for 2.2
The way to do this (similar things that have been suggested) is to have 'specialist' elements that can be attached to a unit. The unit would get a little 'badge' to indicate that 'heavy tanks' or 'engineers' or 'anti-aircraft' have been attached to the unit. In essence, I'm thinking that they would ...

Got it!! No Stavka help, either. https://img.skitch.com/20121001-g3h9yjbawwhrn26s7qbti4fyk3.preview.jpg Click for large view The key elements: 1. get at German supplies - cut off Dneprepetrovsk asap, cut the bridge at Kremenchug, and then hit the Cherkasy supply depot as soon as possible. 2. line th...

Re: Dneper/Donbas
Eight turns is my best so far, too. Haven't tried using any Stavka resources yet, though, so that might help a bit.
The major problem is weather... things are looking OK in turn 4, and then you get stuck in the mud.

Re: DD Stuck in Port
Hi, Ok you have an old version of the final version..... I sent an email out to the Mac beta-testers in May to get the latest since we fixed some bugs and Slitherine was not yet ready to start the installer for the PC side. So go to the Slitherine beta-tester FTP site and download the latest Mac ve...

Re: DD Stuck in Port
Unfortunately yes. Even if the Axis take Agadir the Free French will spawn sending them to the force pool. Also, any Allied units in the general area will get dumped back in force pool, meaning they have to be re-transported across the Atlantic. It isn't elegant, but it is workable, if you remember...

DD Stuck in Port
I have a British DD that appears to be stuck in the Quebec port – the one called 'US LL Port'. 1st Destroyer Flotilla. Not sure how long it has been there, but at least a couple of turns, and I'm at turn 38 now – September 10, 1941. I think I actually had another ship in the port before, and this ve...

Re: Proper Game etiquette -- or -- when is it ok to resign?
I have simple rules for this. I never surrender, and I always finish the game, no matter how badly I'm getting smoked. Granted, sometimes I take a long time to respond -- my opponents have been quite indulgent on that front (thank you). And if you a playing against somebody better than you, watch ho...

Re: Manpower?
I was playing the Napoleonic Wars edition (same game engine) and my manpower got down to negative 200 or so. The Russians were just vaporizing my units –– the double survivability penalty really hurts.

Airbase City Connections
Could somebody point me to a list of the connections between airbases and cities? I'm thinking, in particular, of the airbases around the UK, but full list would obviously be good, too. Is this information somewhere in the game interface?

Re: Free French Arrival Issues
If there is a technical issue with dropping the units in and displacing existing units, one possible solution would be to have a couple messages warning the Allied (and Axis?) player that Free French units will arrive in Agadir in two turns, and then in one turn, and that all units in and around Aga...

Free French Arrival Issues
So, the Free French just showed up in Agadir... where I had just landed a Mech Corps, which happened to have Ike attached.
The Mech Corps got dropped back in the queue, which is bad enough, but Ike was completely eliminated. Ouch!
That seems a bit... well, not right.
