I encountered 2 similar game hangs when loading a mission. The last one was with Sputnik and Lunic Booster.
In the logfile I can see an exception that states that the R-7_LUNIK-GenericLaunch.xml file does not exist (and it doesn't really):

Hi,

I have installed V0.7.12 and have these suggestions:

a) In some dialogs I did not found a cancel button: Open / Save game, confirmation of training duration
b) It should be possible to view the goals that can be achieved without opening a mission first, so I can find the correct missions for ...
