Re: I may have broken the game

I have read everything. Deadtorius you are seriously beaten on this 'Wall of text' thing. Amateur, Deadtorius. I'll re-read it and reply in the week. So you were on Balanced, but played the difficult battles in FOGM. It translates to easy mode  Yeah, that's fair. As I said, just in case it...

Re: I may have broken the game

So, for the developer's benefit and for anyone who is interested I figured I'd pop back in here with a post-mortem of my first game. A few points to bring up. -I was playing the Scots. -I was playing purely for fun rather than for challenge and was much more interested in seeing how far I could deve...

Re: regions with claim

Checking the manual it can give you a boost in authority and then a trickle of extra ongoing legacy income. It also means you can declare war on that faction without eating the -5 'we don't have a claim' authority malus. Nice but not necessary, you can conquer away without them as long as you don't ...

Hey Napoleon Complex. Check Glaring Balance Issues thread for more severe oversights and exploits. Furthermore I recommend you to check my thread "Tips for the new players". After the base message I have quite a few advanced and esoteric optimization tips. Suicide difficulty is not really...

Re: I may have broken the game

That's a good remark overall. Even if in Balanced, it suggests I should up this max penalty of -4 to higher levels in higher difficulties... You are now reading for a bigger challenge, playing in Experienced, and with a nation with more issues than Scotland. But don't take a random one region natio...

Re: How to deal with disloyal characters

You can also put disloyal or unknown characters in charge of one unit armies in well-fortified, loyal provinces if you're truly worried about them and you have no one or no military resources you can trust to keep an eye on them in the capital.

Ah, I thought that was coming from the 'Just Conquered' regions not of my religion. To clarify, will that stop when I make peace, or is this an additional punishment for going over my demense limit?

I may have broken the game

Take this going in with the caveat that I am probably playing on way too low a difficulty setting to really provide a full challenge. I'm playing my first Scottish campaign (still; man, this game is long). Right now I've taken over the whole of England and the lion's share of France. I was at the li...

Re: Sengoku Jidai Divine Wind Campaign

A moment before they are forced to surrender, the garrison of Dazaifu cheers when they see relieving Hojo banners on the horizon! ...they then immediately groan in disgust when they recognise Ludendorf's banners. Ludendorf moves to relieve Dazaifu, marching the length of the frontline for the third ...

Re: Sengoku Jidai Divine Wind Campaign

Ludendorf draws BobGanoush 67-61. ... (PS: I have no idea what happens now.) It's nice to hear the Yuan tried their very best to defend the shrine...and succeed! I hear from the shrine's Monks they've accepted large numbers of Yuan novices, and the Mongolians are busy regaling and training many of ...

Re: Sengoku Jidai Divine Wind Campaign

Ludendorf draws BobGanoush 67-61. According to Ludendorf, a great swarm of Mongol cavalry threatened to surround the Japanese army. Mounting his great warhorse, Ludendorf led a charge directly into the midst of the Mongol ranks, scattering them everywhere, laying them low, present everywhere at once...

Re: Sengoku Jidai Divine Wind Campaign

Confused reports stream in from the panicked accounts of routed Japanese and Chinese-Korean soldiers that have taken cover in nearby forts and houses, some claiming a catastrophe for the Japanese, others claiming that the Yuan infantry were pushed into a mass rout almost as soon as the battle began....

After refusing to leave his tent for a month on account of sighting a particularly vicious butterfly, during which his soldiers somehow managed to take a town, Ludendorf is shamed into moving to the Munakata shrine on the urging of KiwiWarlord.

He even has 'Home of Ludendorf the Treacherous, Slimy and Monstrous (Kaito make sure you change slimy and monstrous around when you carve it as it sounds better the other ...
