Then I don't understand the purpose of linking you steam acct to the Sitherline one

First off just want to say really enjoying the game, have not tried big campaign yet.

p.17 of the Manual states: The Map

#3 "The current date is displayed here" The tool tip will tell you how many turns before the game ends"

Am I missing something? It this just for grand campaign?
