It freezes either while connecting to the server or after I press Login.

This is the most annoying tournament in the history of FoG2.
Want to finish the 2nd round, but it´s not possible, because I suddenly get no access to MP at all.

But even if it´s bugged, how come I am in there?

Ok, signed up anew. Starting date has been pushed back to 12-29, is that correct?

I loaed the first turn and it didn´t show the armies correctly, only placeholder names.
Then I got the nightfall message instead of buying units. I was told I have to leave the battlefield and the game was counted as lost!

I did well with the Seleucids, but badly with the Graeco-Bactrians. I think they were the most terrible army in this tourny.
Did anybody find a strategy to use them well? Please share!

Well, I guess you're right. In both of my games, the Lysimachids won, and nobody took any elephants.
Honestly, I've never had any success with elephants.

I tend to always max them out when I get the chance. But I do find a use for them mostly.

We are having a roaring good time with the first battle, and I was moved to look it up, because the Lysimachids seem to be getting the upper hand on both sides. Near as I can figure, it's Corupedium. The wiki article says

Maybe scythe chariots? Kind of a novelty item. I've used them a few times with Persians. Most of the time they didn't do much more than be a distraction, but did really do wonders a time or two rolling up a flank.

I haven´t played for a while, but as far as I recall, there are very few bonuses, if any, that are category versus specific category. There are not really dedicated tank destroyers, dedicated anti-infantry tanks, dedicated antitank-infantry, artillery is as good against tanks as against infantry and ...

no combined arms? tanks, mech infantry, SP artillery, ground attack aircraft, air mobile infantry, bombers, self propelled AA.

I couldn´t disagree more. I´d say it´s the worst 4X I ever had the misfortune to buy.

My review would read something like this:

Gladius is rather stupid in more ways than one. Tactics matter little. I think you don´t even get a flanking bonus for Chrissake. Low tier units simply become obsolete ...
