How big are the starter armies in points? Are they the same for everyone? I must have missed that in the books.

So I got the books and some friends are showing intrest but Ill probably need to get 2 armies so they can test the game before they are sold on it. 800 points is a bit to much investment (money and painting, mostly painting) so I wonder if people have any idea of suitable size to get a fair test of ...
