Re: FOGAM3
Skirmishers will still operate in the same way as they do in V2. The big difference is in their overall value in determining whether or not you win or lose the game. Cool! Looking forward to taking the new rules for a spin. Is the intent to produce new army books, or will the old ones be reprinted?

Re: FOGAM3
If I can add my measly $0.02. I'm not a tournament player; I'm interested in a game that plays relatively quickly but if it takes 4-6 hours to play out, I'm ok with that. My interest lies in mashing the miniatures game with a campaign system. In that light, I want the units that the game represents ...

Re: Winners Atrittion
As someone who has interest in the A&M time period, purchased the rule book, but has yet to actually start painting any armies, my biggest barrier to playing this game is accessibility to source materials. The books are rarely available, and the only electronic format is as an iPad app. I'm glad...

Re: First game questions
Thanks for the help.
Regarding the last question, assuming the LF could do so, if the LF wheels towards the enemy cav, can they fire at them in the shooting phase even though they are locked into melee? The cav was in a 2x2 formation.

First game questions
A friend and I just played our first game tonight and we had a few questions. We have the 2.0 rules. 1) Does a charging unit always roll on the VMD table prior to a charge, or does this only apply when a target declares that it is going to evade? 2) Light foot is the target of a charge, rolls poorly...

Re: Question about Reading the Army Lists
The Numidians have a base army list in Rise of Rome on page 40 with their allied list on p. 41. This is the list you use for Numidian Allies. The Attalid Pergamenne and the Ancient Spanish also have base army lists in Rise of Rome with corresponding Ally lists. You use these ally lists for those al...

Question about Reading the Army Lists
Regarding allies, which list should I use to build the allied army? For example, in the Rise of Rome supplement book, the Mid-Republican Roman army list on page 9 has "Altolian allies -- Hellenistic Greek -- See Field of Glory Companion 3: ... ", "Numidian allies", "Pergamen...

Again, the product is Out of Stock. I don't know what a reprinting schedule is on a wargame supplement, but I am pretty sure it is not very often. Having it available in PDF would alleviate the issue.Scruff wrote:Get them from osprey publishing, alot of the army books are around 7 pounds ea

Re: FoG:AM v2 - improvement suggestions for electronic forma
The books are't out of print, you can buy them via the website, as unless my memory is failing me they are using a print on demand system cheers The core rules are available, but the army books are not. I've looked on a number of 3rd party websites and they don't have all of the army books in stock...

A PDF version of the rules: for those of us customers who are late to the game and want to purchase copies of books that are, apparently, out of print.

Re: V2 Hardback. Poor quality, poorer customers service
I just wanted to throw in my $0.02 as a new customer. I ordered my copy of the book this last Sunday at about 11 pm. It was in my mail box on Wednesday afternoon. Having read this thread, I was concerned whether or not my book would break. It would appear (at least when compared to the OP) that my b...

New Player Questions
Hello everyone! I finished reading through the rules today, and I am pleased to say I am happy with my investment. I do have a couple of questions. 1) Am I correct in assuming that while in close combat, if both sides get the same number of hits, there would be no cohesion test for either side, but ...

Re: Availability of supplements
Also, if slitherine don't have stock Amazon, etc may well do. I'm thinking you'll want "Rise of Rome" and "Legions Triumphant". However, if you are interested inthe very early Roman period you might like to look at "Lost Scrolls" as well, which has Etruscan, etc Thanks...

Availability of supplements
Hello,
I've been interested in doing Roman-era wargaming, and this rule set seems to have what I want in a miniature wargame. I know the Core Rule Book is available for purchase, but a number of supplemental books appear to not be. Is this "out of stock" status temporary?
