The launch pad looks fantastic, love the dirty concrete.

Re: What we have been up to during the past few weeks

Please stop teasing us and release the beta :) Do you have a projected date for the beta? Those screenshots look great, I think the fish-eye of Saturn V is the best so far. As I keep saying, I am really looking forward to this game. Can I ask how long you think it will take to play through the caree...

My first experience of Pandora

I finally got around to installing the beta this afternoon. It was nice and straightforward, although Win8 blocks the installer, but this is easily remedied. Five minutes: The menus all look nice and familiar, and upon starting the game I liked the short video of the landing ships and a vey brief an...

Re: Safety and R&D

Didn't BARIS have a random encounter message saying: "engineers have discovered a potential fault that needs to be corrected. This will either cost $15 million or will set you back 10% of R&D." Could you have something similar with failures, where your investigation provides answers an...

Re: Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager Teasing Screens and

The GSA Space Complex looks beautiful, I want to play it more than ever now. Just in case it's slipped through the cracks, the Pioneer briefing screenshot has a typo in it. It currently reads the " Pionner Sun Probe".... when I assume you mean Pioneer. I also noticed the reliability shown ...

Re: Any news? At all?

Wow, will keep an eye out next week then. We can't be far off a video by now can we?

I thought I'd post this here, another game that's coming out via kickstarter and follows in a similar vein as SPM.

Re: Any news? At all?

Well, this is really beginning to show off some incredible visuals, the achievements look like a nice touch and I am really looking forward to seeing some gameplay videos soon, I'd love to see more of the interface. As with everyone else I am anxious to get in on the beta if possible. What will the ...

Re: Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager Announced!

Hey, what's the crack with astronauts? Will they be actual astronauts or will they just assume identities that bear no resemblance anyone in particular? Will you try to take advantage of Commander Hadfield and his new celebrity status for your marketing? I know I would, but of course I have no shame.

Re: Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager Announced!

I think the newscasts definitely added something to BARIS but that style of narrative was very much related to the cold war theme and the competitive gameplay. I was personally a fan of the newspapers in Sim City 2000. If this game were to use media reports of the missions it might be nice to see th...

Re: Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager Announced!

Thanks for getting back to me, it's great to be able to build a picture up of what the game might be. As usual in my excitement I have loads of questions... Will there be an option to develop commercial aspects of space exploration with a view to strengthen you budget, such as passengers or selling ...

Re: Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager Announced!

Any news on SPM? I imagine following your meeting with Buzz you have lots of developments going on. I'm wondering, with your amalgamated programme of real world missions and technologies, how has the game taken into account the possibility of in game success of missions that have failed in the real ...

Re: Slitherine links with Games Workshop on new licensing ag

So many fond memories of my early teen years playing 40k at the weekends, I still occasionally dig it out for some painting. More recently I've spent the last few years playing DoW and the expansions. Played some DoW2 but I missed the classic RTS base building. I also enjoyed playing Spacemarine. Wi...

Re: MEETING BUZZ

Hi Nacho, Thanks for answering my questions. I'm glad to see that someone like Buzz is so positive about the future of space exploration, it would be such a shame for it to dwindle as it really does inspire children to get involved in science and engineering. I'll be certain to check out the Mars Cy...

Re: MEETING BUZZ

Hi, Well played, Buzz. Not that I advocate violence but sometimes people do just need a good slap. A couple of questions I've love you to ask if you get a chance: 1. Will world governments actually follow through with a return to the Moon and/or manned mission to Mars? Or will they buckle due to fac...

Re: Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager Announced!

Really can't wait to give this a go. Any clues on what to expect in terms of government targets and how we will be rewarded? Very interested to see how the tech tree pans out, I hope it's more of a web/matrix than a conventional tech tree.

Re: Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager Announced!

I like the idea of having targets or requirements rather than simply doing everything before your competitor as was the case in BARIS. That said, I'm not convinced the audience will react positively to the absence of an opponent, it's fine for SimCity but . If maybe there could be an online mode to ...

Re: Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager Announced!

I just noticed this in the write-up... "It is the mid 1950s and the biggest nations in the world, in an effort to conquer outer space together, have established the Global Space Agency (GSA). " Don't you think this is kinda bogus? Totally not the spirit of those times. The space race was ...

Re: Buzz Aldrin's Space Program Manager Announced!

This looks fantastic, love the graphics and the scope of the game seems to promise huge amount of varied strategy. I especially like the idea of being able to complete projects that were scrapped by NASA and the RSA, I'd love to be able to successfully land Beagle 2 or complete Space Station Freedom...
