Can anyone tell me what it does mean then? The other type of troops is "Optional", which would seem to imply that Core Troops are not optional. The vast majority of situations when a list says "0-#" it is in relation to a troop type that has options, such as being heavily armored...

Zero Base Core

My assumption was that any unit classified as "Core" was required to be taken in the listed amount, but every now and again I see lists with Core choices listed as being a minimum of "0". ex. - Storm of Arrows, Later Granadine, pg. 85, "Mounted Crossbowmen, Bases per BG 4-6,...

Sounds like fun! I bet there is a group at Attactix playing. They probably have enough people that they won't bother coming online to find more. Maybe I'll give them a call and see if I can find some players once I get my stuff together. Oh, and maybe I should mention, I'm putting together 15mm Medi...

Springs is pretty far for me! If Denver gets a regular thing going I might well and try to make that sometime though. I've only participated in one game and I was reading rules while two of my friends pushed around card stock "bases". I have some work to do before I'm actually ready to pla...

Fort Collins, Colorado

If anyone is in the Fort Collins, Colorado area and would like to play I'd be up for it. I only just started putting an army together, but I figure I might as well try and find people now and by the time I have enough painted models to play with maybe someone will have read this! Write me an e-mail ...

It's quick and easy really. Get a 4x6 board that doesn't easily warp (not ply-wood...) and is about half and inch thick. Cover that in a layer of watered down white glue (50/50 ratio water to glue). Sprinkle with sand (think, "feedin' the chickens" and flick out handfuls of sand), you don'...

I'm pretty sure the Woodland Scenics sprayer glue would make a pretty poor sealer on any kind of miniature with any sort of decent paint job. It does dry pretty smooth, but it definitely comes out in far heavier droplets than an aerosol can of sealer. They would have to leave little rings I would th...

Litko looks like a very good option. What are people's opinions about base height though? Is the .8 too thin? What if I were to get that and add the magnetic sticker option? It seems like 3mm is pretty thick for models that are only 15mm themselves! The 1.3 seems like a good comprimise but Litko cha...

Basing Basics

I'm brand new to Historicals. What do you use to base these models? Like, what material? Are there any pre-fab bases out there that use the measurements for FoG? Both 15mm and 28mm scale would be nice to know about. I haven't yet decided which I prefer though I'm leaning towards 15mm...
