Is there a way to avoid these bug issues?

The only issue I've seen so far is don't use the Truce Option......It currently locks the game up.

Other than that its been working fine for me

Rules:
Axis can only use two Tigers but can use panthers as well.

Allies can only choose 3 Fireflys but can choose Shermans as well.
