This may be the first time I've ever read that the Spartans were more cultured than anyone. :)

Thank you for the report and the smile I got reading it.

Probably won't have an opportunity to munch on camel here in America, but if I ever see it on a menu, I'll remember this and order up.

I believe that one of the Pyrrhic lists will give you all three options (the greek campaign has impact foot, iirc).

I plan on basing my French peasants with a different number of figures for each base, hopefully it'll give it a more "mob" like feel.

Example, first base gets five figures, second base gets six figures, third base gets seven, then eight, then back to five again.

I'll be moving to Florissant (from Fenton) at the end of this month.

We'll probably have to stay with 1" = 1 MU, since the store we plan on playing at has 6x4 tables (Miniature Market, in Crestwood).

I didn't mention it, and should've: we're using 15mm scale. You?

St. Louis, Missouri, United States.

Sometime around the beginning to middle of November, a small group of potential FoG players will be meeting up in St. Louis. There's three of us currently (Med. French, Med. Swiss, and Spartans), and if you've played before, or are interested in playing, well, the more players the merrier. We've not...

Do you know the composition of the army of your opponent?

I'm hoping to get my first game with the Med. French in about a month, so whatever doesn't work for you, please pass it on. :)

Epirote Resources?

I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of a Pyrrhic starter army, and I'd like to start collecting the necessary resource material to properly paint them. Any suggestions? Paint them like Successors? In another thread, someone mentioned Tarantines having white shields, are there any other differences? I'm...

Of course, you can always build a 600-point WOTR "starter army" of your own from the main list. :) Absolutely. :) But there's two reasons why I'd like to see the almost-published lists: 1. I'd like to see the designer's take on them. 2. Several minis companies have been marketing FoG star...

I use Vallejo model colour for most of my historicals. I've also got the full line of P3, and they're very good, but the colors are definitely geared more towards fantasy. Reaper's Master Series I found to be too thin. Haven't used Foundry, and haven't used Citadel since the first batch of paints I ...

For what it's worth, I ordered from Amazon US on January 8th, received notice that my order had shipped on February 16th, and received the package today (Feb. 19).

Haven't had a chance to read them yet (still at work), but they may just be the best looking rulebooks I've ever seen. Nicely done. :)

For what it's worth, I've pre-ordered the rules from amazon, and I think I can get 2-3 other people in St. Louis to pick up the system in short order, assuming that the game meets my expectations (which I have no doubt that it will). I'm also very much tournament oriented, although my historical exp...
