Steam is automatic, GOG don't mention installing mods to PC2 :0/

OK my GOG item is registered on Steam, but the subscribed mod is still not showing in game.

I take it the GOG installation isn't going to natively read mods d/led to the Steam folder.

I am having great difficulty in getting the mod correctly installed to my GOG version.

As a GOG purchaser, I would like to know where I can access these mods, please?

I like how the mechanic works, but I feel the actual use of it is limited.
It is very difficult to sustain use of captured equipment due to limited supply of replacement units.
Would it be possible to improve the mechanic by making supply of replacements viable in some form?

I would still like to see a fleshing out of the Afrika Korps campaign, in the form of a DLC.

Actually, it was more the icons that I was concerned about, rather than the actual livery of the vehicles & aircraft.
