Re: PBEM replaying turns cheat

Not that I'm aware of. Still, considering the amount of fighting that goes on in an average turn (especially later in the game) the benefits are WAY overridden by the diasadvantages. Replaying to get 3-5 results go your way is a pain, 20-30 is a nightmare.

Question. I have the Mac version & can't find game.class in my setup. Is this a Windows only file?

This is something that, while it doesn't really cause a problem, is a bit confusing. There seems to be no way to use the port to embark troops for sea movement, so what's the reason it's there?

Re: Naval Warfare as Axis

I usually build the max allowed w/o suffering price/oil penalties.

Remember that Uboats are not just for sinking convoys, they're also a good recon unit. Knowing when/where/how large the troops convoys can help you fight the invasion when it comes.

Re: How do you stop this?

I have had this happen also (but with Iraq also joining in). My BB was "Battle Sqn 4", though. Not sure what to do about it. In my last game, I just used them as training fodder for new troops.

Re: Naval Warfare as Axis

Pretty much build Uboats. Due to the starting sizes of the Allied navies, the Axis can't build enough surface units to take on the western Allies & still be able to fight the Russians on land. Uboats, especially if you allow at sea repairs, can slowly attrition the Allied fleets. Plus, the surfa...

If it's next to a port then you should see the transport option for air units.

Not to pick nits, but Wiking was only part of the III SS Panzerkorps when it was first organized. It took part in training operations, but when the corps went to battle at Narva it was made up of 11 SS Nordland and 20 SS Estnische divisions, 4 SS Brigade Netherland & 103 SS Schwere panzer battal...

Re: What are Soviets doing in the UK?

Simple. They sent troops/aircraft to support the British/US forces in their liberation of Scotland. If you look by Archangel, there's a transport loop that has a counterpart near Trondheim. I'm guessing, based on the mini-map, that since the eastern front isn't going too well for the Germans that th...

Re: GS 4.0 only for Multi Player?

Perfectly playable vs AI. Just that the AI wasn't designed for the rules so does some silly stuff from time to time (abandoning capitals & other cities is the worst). Still, wasn't all that great in the original version once you cracked it, so it is what it is.

Tried it windowed and worked fine in all modes. Might want to add a warning for that resolution on Macs in fullscreen mode.

Re: Mac CEAW-GS FINAL V4.00 updated link 12/20/2017

Downloaded fine. Running it had a problem. Ran it under Highest setting (2Ghz+ CPU) in full screen mode. When running Low 1024x768 & High 1920x1080 everything is fine, but when using Medium 1366x768 the right side (1/4?) doesn't show. Running a 27" iMac with 2560x1440 resolution. Haven't tr...

That one works.

Not a usage limit problem, but a truncation issue. First link wasn't the full link, it was cut off for some reason.

Forgot to mention it, but the message did disappear once Portugal surrendered.

Yeah, more a cosmetic issue than a problem.

Re: GS v4.00 for Mac only

Have found an idiosyncracy in the Mac version. Every turn since the Axis invaded Portugal the US keeps setting up airfields in the Azores. Seems to be stuck in some sort of loop.
