I just found out the answer for myself, by a stroke of luck. Good thing that I left the Bruckenpionieres close to the Transport Airfields...and that I saved my turns!!! :D The 4 Bruckenpioniere Units that were landed off the Ju52's must occupy the Transport Airfields at the same time to end the scen...

Quick Question regarding Demyansk Pocket Scenario ('41 DLC)
I just finished the Demyansk Pocket scenario, and escorted 4 Ju52's to 4 different airfields, as well as having captured every Soviet Airfield, City, and wiped out every last Soviet unit. I ended up with a Marginal Victory. The question: Do you have to leave the 4 escorted Ju52's as transport...

I played it on Colonel difficulty, and absolutely wiped the invasion clean. There wasn't a point that the outcome was in doubt, although I remember some of my fighters took early heavy losses. I simply withdrew them south. Otherwise, no problems whatsoever...the quality of the German armor in the ga...

Interesting...the +1 Movement 88 is a nifty little piece. I can see where that would come in handy. One of the reasons that I'm so big on the Sturmpanzer I's, and why I'm using them exclusively, is how much they change the way that the AI will counterattack. Having 5 Sturmpanzers in my core means th...

Re: Stonne: No counter-attack from the north?
And in this context, I'd prefer it if you lost the prestige gained by capturing objectives as soon as they are retaken by the domestic forces - then it would hurt, even if the objectives are not among the main ones. So, you could neither ignore light units, like cavalry stuck deep in the woods, nor...

This is probably all covered much better than I'm going to in previous threads, but I've found the following are key to beating that scenario: ***Note: SPOILERS AHEAD*** 1) Don't attempt an immediate landing; dispatch the bulk of the Royal Navy first. Trying an immediate landing brings you right in ...

Re: Stonne: No counter-attack from the north?
The long corridor-like nature of the map + the streets in the north vanishing east and west into the unknown outside the map + the support troops stationed there made me uneasy: I fully expected a counter-attack from the west or east in the north as soon as I would have progressed so far into the s...

Kerensky- That plan is pretty much what I do in the South as well; however, I add a third very small battlegroup (usually no more than 1 Tank, 1 Infantry, and 1 Self-Propelled Artillery) to do an end around the Northern flank, like this: (forgive me for using your map :) ) http://i230.photobucket.co...

I'm already re-playing the '39 Campaign at the moment, with a different philosophy on the SE Infantry. Knowing that they're essentially an evolutionary dead-end for my purposes (which is to have an Infantry core composed solely of Pionieres and one Bridging unit), I'm keeping whatever I get until I ...

'39 DLC: Can SE Infantry be upgraded to Pioniere Units...
...in the later DLC's ('40 and '41)? I have two SE Gerbigsjager units at the moment, but I favor using Pionieres almost exclusively. However, so far all I see is that I can upgrade them to Grenadiers or standard Infantry. The reason that I'm asking is because I'm about to start the '40 DLC, and need...

I'd also recommend Andrew Nagorski's "The Greatest Battle", which chronicles The Battle of Moscow.
