I do not know the location of said designated beta discussion area. I will be happy to post in that location and would request admin delete this topic if that is the case, as I cannot seem to find any way of doing so.

What is everyone's thoughts on the beta?

Has anyone else noticed that many of the models for the arachnids are closely, if not entirely based on the mongoose miniatures models? Plasma bug for comparison.

We have been waiting for news on beta and have had several empty promises on the subject. We will see next month if this latest promise will be true.

That is the conclusion I have come to. I don't foresee them allowing beta tests until the last minute if at all. As for developers not posting, I would like to think they are busy working on the game .

Guess we know the answer to that. I inquired during the "tea time" on YouTube and they said they would be approving soon. But who knows honestly.

That would be pretty awesome. I don't see it happening on individual trooper basis, but maybe squad names? Looking at how the mechanics are going to work, I doubt it.

Certainly would! Would add a new dynamic with own challenges.

This topic is more for the devs, the game is definitely looking great so far! The finer details for the animations alive and death sounds great. I will say, the music was a little much, ha! Wish all the best.

It is looks to be only per mission type of veterancy and units. As for the rest, I do not know.

I doubt it, skinnies were not in the movies nor the new animated films, which they seem to be basing the timeline on.

Well, kind of a dead topic, but, I will post here so anyone following this topic gets an update. They released a huge news update with multiple clips of gameplay and dev commentary. Beta test applications now being accepted.
