ok, so then, no expactations for a future solution i suppose.and think that i double bought both FOG empire and field of glory 2 first on GOG and then on steam for this reason.

Hmm, couldn't you just write a simple windows batch file do all the tiresome file transfers?

i believe this is the way it works on windows. If anybody ( i'm lookin at you developers :) can make such a banch for steamdeck, then would be easier to just alter the individual install addresses and ...

hello, thanks for the quick reply.

Pip gave me ( us ) a a walkthrough of how to achieve connection between games , still not a viable one though. Really hope for a proper solution on the caming months ( days would be over optimistic i believe ) .

Hello PIP,

All this is hypothetical actually it work. I play the GOG version of both games on steamdeck ( i bought them also on steam to be sure for compatibillity, but all the DLCs are on the GOG versions so i play those ) and the same PFX directories apply on it too.

unfortunately be fairly low priority on the list of tasks

completely understadable, was just for extra flavor anyway, nothing important gameplay wise.

Unfortunately not at present.

Steam say that empires is unsupported on steamdeck. I can verify that it plays quite well ( especially with trackpads and good key biddings, though the ui cannot not be upscaled so its a little difficult to read) with the only functionality that i see not working to be exporting battles to fog2 ...

Like a ledger, to see what general were killed, the casualties of eatch battle ( not only the last one ) . would be quite immersive and we can have a bigger picture of the campaign. more subtle and very well blended in within the games engine, make the battles ( at least for me ) much more immersive. you will only see them when two units engaged into mellee. The good part is that if more than one unit fights another one the blood pool ...

since i primary play with "ode to europa barbarorum" mod and so i stack with 1.3.4 version of the game , and since we cant have a definite fog empires ( perhaps for the best ) to motivate bercor for a mod update
