This was done 3 times. First time as Athens who start with silver and marble. Demolished the farm at Athens (better things to build in my capitol) and researched silver early. Conquered both the cycladeans (except Thera) to gain more trade resources. Second time as Lydians(?) - whichever eastern gro...

Sorry I can't check that as I didn't save any of those games. As I was playing for experimentation purposes, I controlled as much as was possible. The times frames referred to were usually at a point where I had +or- 10 towns most developed to the 4th and some to the 5th level (large town/small city...

After 3 days of trying (emphasis trying) to play it, I have thrown it away. Even on easy, I faced constant attacks from all of my neighbours who don...

Thanks, that explains it. I only have played the broader maps where you can actually build a civilization rather than the little battle oriented scenarios up to now. Guess maybe I'll have to ty them. Too bad the heroes aren't somehow available in the more general maps as well...

How do you get a hero?

I've been playing these games for several months and have yet to see a hero. The info on the website indicates you have to start with them but none have ever appeared for me. Can they be recruited at a military building?
