I'm having the same problem trying to get prestige in Afrikakorps at the Field Marshall level on the iPad. By the time I get to the middle of the game with scenarios like Dash to the Wire & Gazala line, I find I'm getting virtually no prestige, save for when I capture cities. I don't recall this...
