Re: How are naval units supplied?

What this means for exploration missions that can be completed from sea zones is that your explorers should end a turn at your most forward port toward the destination. You can get pretty far and still return without losing actual ships, though they will be badly damaged.

Re: Decadence in plain simple language (no formulas!)

What I find to be most helpful is to focus my conquests on taking entire provinces (or at least the majority interest in them.) I try to avoid having loose regions as much as possible. While this may not directly give a bonus to culture or decadence, it does greatly increase your flexibility in buil...

Re: Nations most played and most interesting

I have had fun (and reached a competitive score) with a number of different nations, including ones you might not consider as viable. Hibernii, Aethiopia and the Goths all did well, but the Skythians ended up in a CDR death spiral that I could not pull out of.

Even if it used the same map and was based either on H.G. Wells or Harry Turtledove, it'd be awesome.

Ha, well to those who interpret the roll averaging as an anti-cheating measure, I'd have to recommend that they only play with friends or the AI or switch to a game like chess. A little paranoia might be a good thing, but only a little. Wargaming is a venerable and honorable tradition. If someone ca...

I'd be happy to play either side.

My preferred options are all except the following:

parachute corps
purchased Russian guards
combat roll averaging

I feel especially strongly about not using the last one. The uncertainty and chance for setbacks is part of the fun.
