Yes, I have a save game just before "Wintergewitter" where it happens. Units were imported from the Red Star Campaign.
Pls tell me the location of the file and I am happy to send it.

Hi and thanks for the update.
Currently playing Red Steel Campaign.
One problem tough ... I cannot upgrade units anymore. When clicking the upgrade button ... no window appears.
Is this only me having this problem?

just found out:
starting the next sceanrio -> choose unit -> click upgrade ...
